The biggest problem with paper check-in is that it is serial: one person fills out a form while a long line waits behind. QR-code check-in compresses verification to one or two seconds.

Combined with the seating map, attendees immediately see their table and seat after checking in, greatly reducing the workload of on-site guides.

More importantly, check-in data flows into the dashboard in real time, so organizers can see arrived, not-yet-arrived and attendance rate from the backend without manual counting.
